“ I was spending the day in La Jolla Cove with my family and we were looking for a spot to watch the game. We stumbled across The Spot and there was plenty of seating and TVs. We were able to grab a table pretty quickly. I loved the lively vibes of this sports bar and appreciated how many TVs there were! They had some good beers on draft and we also got some calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was pretty solid and I liked the aioli it came with. Overall, standard but solid sports bar! ”
“ I love The Spot!! Every time in La Jolla it is my go to. Very cool laid back, beach vibe bar. Very reasonable prices considering the location, but don't let the prices fool you, the food is excellent! As a former Chicagoan, I highly recommend the deep dish pizza. In my opinion better than most deep dish in Chicago as the crust at The Spot is much lighter and flakier (which is a benefit in 70 degree San Diego vs. -10 degree Chicago). If you're into sports they have plenty of TV's, but if you're not into sports, the volume isn't so loud as to disrupt friend or family conversations. Great place to sit outside as well and just people watch (or dog watch which is a great past time in this neighborhood). All in all, if your looking for a proper bar/tavern with great drinks & food, and a cool atmosphere, this is a must. ”
“ Great service - plenty of TVs around the restaurant for sporting events. The fried pickles were INCREDIBLE, with a light crispy coating, but the chicken on the Mac n cheese and fish and chips were not the best and I would not order again. The chicken was chewy, as if it were reheated in the microwave and then served. The fish and chips also tasted reheated and had way too much breading. Would definitely come back and try other menu items. Reasonable prices too! PROS: * reasonable prices * plenty of TVs for sporting events * great service CONS: * parking in this area is a known nightmare * bathrooms were not the cleanest ”
“ Late food service!! They close at 2 am. A good place for all ages, it's not frat boy like Hennessy's for after wedding party shenanigans. As it's where your mom and dad would go to escape the kids on a date night. Service is friendly, especially with Laura, Kayla and Jessica. ”
“ Groovy Bar in the bustling Downtown La Jolla area! Nick our server was appropriately attentive and friendly! They are dog friendly too! Prices are fair except not sure why they add a 5% surcharge? Perhaps it's a Cali thing??? We only had drinks before heading out to dinner, however the Fish and Chios looks like the prize of their menu! ”
“ This place was the vibe for a late night spot. The food was good, the service was great. It was the day after Christmas so they were short staffed in the kitchen and some items came out late, they comped some items and were extremely friendly the entire time! The tacos and the burger were great. The steaks looked really good too! ”
